As we approach spring, we can’t help to think about the seasons of weather, business, and life.
Independent Services has seen several seasons over the past two years and we are approaching a new one. Every business owner feels like their business is their child. They watch it grow and mature into what they had envisioned at its inception. We are no exception to the rule. We’ve had such high hopes, dreams, and prayers for our business and they are all becoming a reality. We are growing and learning every day, by the challenges, successes, and mistakes and failures we’ve had. Trust, in this business, is everything. It takes time to build that trust with our customers, vendors, and team members. We have been able to achieve that and it’s paying off. We give everyone our best effort. We don’t stop until it’s done right….the first time. Our lives are no different. Seasons change. It’s not always pleasant but changes just the same. To keep the mind-set of “that’s just the way it is” or “I’m just made that way” is a bad mind-set.
I’m personally seeing changes in my own life and I’m not to sure that I like them. However, with the support of my wife, children, partners, and several very good friends, I will see it through and be better for it. Never let go of your dreams but be willing to change the manner in which you achieve them. Take some time for yourself, and your family. I would never say neglect your business. Rather, find a balance and accept the changes in business and in life. Remember why you started this journey and made the sacrifices to start your business. The older we get the more things change, and that’s no different for our businesses, they grow and change. We have to be into growing and changing with them.
God bless you all and have a great season.
